Families are invited to kick off the holiday season with a full day of festive activities as the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library hosts its annual Santa’s Workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
The event will run throughout the day at the library, located at 2517 7th Street in Meridian, and will feature a variety of holiday-themed attractions for children and families.
Guests will have the chance to meet Santa, enjoy train rides from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and participate in holiday crafts and a scavenger hunt inside the library.
Mrs. Claus will also hold storytime sessions at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Outside, Angie Hales will host a petting zoo and pony rides, offering additional fun for young visitors.
The event will also include a community opportunity to give back. Vitalant will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in support of local blood supply needs.
All activities are open to the public. Families are encouraged to arrive early to make the most of the holiday experience.
