KEWANNE, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — Authorities are searching for a 73-year-old woman with dementia who was reported missing Monday evening in the Kewanee area.
Linda Landrum, a Black female, was last seen around 5 to 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 19, 2026, near the intersection of Kewanee Road and Kewanee Church Road, according to sources. Family members and officials say Landrum suffers from dementia, raising concerns for her safety as temperatures drop.
Landrum was last seen wearing a blue and white floral dress and may also be wearing a red jacket.
The Lauderdale County Emergency Management Agency (LEMA) and the Toomsuba Fire Department are assisting with the search. Authorities are urging residents in the surrounding area to check their properties, including sheds, vehicles, and other outbuildings.
Officials note that elderly individuals with dementia are known to seek shelter in enclosed spaces to escape cold temperatures.
Anyone with information on Landrum’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
