CLARKE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Enterprise School District said Wednesday it is not connected to an ongoing law enforcement investigation into alleged embezzlement involving an external booster organization that supports one of the district’s athletic teams.

Superintendent Marlon Brannan said the district is aware of recent reports concerning charges tied to the EHS Gridiron Club, a booster club affiliated with Enterprise High School athletics. However, he emphasized that the school district had no involvement in the alleged misconduct.

“No public funds were involved, and no Enterprise School District employees are connected to this matter,” Brannan said in a statement released to the public.

Because the case remains under active investigation, Brannan said the district cannot provide additional details at this time.

The superintendent added that the district remains committed to transparency, fiscal responsibility and cooperation with appropriate authorities.

“Our focus continues to be on serving the students and families of our community,” Brannan said.

Law enforcement officials have not released further information about the scope of the investigation or potential charges.
