NESHOBA COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The search for a missing Neshoba County man has expanded over the past week as investigators continue following new leads and asking the public for help locating him or the red motorized bike he was last known to be riding.
The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that deputies have spent the past week searching for Joe Wayne Whittle using personnel on foot, boats, drones and other available resources.
Investigators said the search remains active, and authorities continue to pursue leads as new information is received.
According to the sheriff’s office, some of the last reported sightings of Whittle were of him riding his red motorized bike, which he frequently used to travel throughout Neshoba County.
Authorities are now asking anyone who may have seen Whittle or his red motorized bike within the past three to four weeks to contact investigators. Officials said even seemingly minor details could prove valuable to the investigation.
Whittle was last seen in early July 2026 near his residence on County Road 610 in Neshoba County. Family members and investigators have been unable to determine his whereabouts since then.
