MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Meridian police have arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at a Shell gas station on Highway 19 North earlier this month, authorities announced Wednesday.

Qytavisa Hill has been charged with armed robbery in the Nov. 15 incident, according to the Meridian Police Department. Officials said Hill was taken into custody without further incident following what they described as a coordinated investigative effort.

Bond for Hill was set at $100,000.

In a statement, Assistant Chief Dareall Thompson said the arrest underscores the department’s commitment to public safety and to bringing violent offenders to justice.

“The Meridian Police Department remains dedicated to the safety and well-being of our citizens, to solving crimes with urgency and professionalism, and getting dangerous offenders off our streets,” Thompson said.
