MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The The Salvation Army thrift store in Meridian will hold its final day of sales Saturday as it prepares to close its current location.

In a social media post, the organization announced that sales will end earlier than originally planned to allow time to properly shut down operations at the store.

Store officials said all remaining inventory must be cleared out, with steep discounts offered on merchandise. Among the highlighted deals were couches priced at $10 each.

All furniture purchases must be removed the same day, and no holds will be allowed, according to the announcement.

While the current store is closing, the organization indicated the move is not permanent. Officials said a new location is planned and encouraged residents to watch for updates in the near future.

The Salvation Army thanked the Meridian community for its continued support and expressed appreciation for local customers as it transitions to its next chapter.
