JONES COUNTY – A 41-year-old man has been arrested on a rape charge in Jones County.
The Jones County Sheriff’s Department said Michael Spears is accused of forcibly raping a teenage girl at a Jones County residence.
Spears is being held at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility pending his initial appearance in Jones County Justice Court.
The case remains under investigation by the Jones County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigations Division. Investigator Cody Pitts is leading the investigation.
