Naval Technical Training Center Meridian will hold a change of command ceremony Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, onboard Naval Air Station Meridian. Commander Daniel Walker will be relieved by Commander Lynn M. Wall during the ceremony.
Walker has served as the commanding officer of the schoolhouse since June 2024. NTTC Meridian is the Navy’s primary training facility for enlisted administrative and supply schools. Approximately 3,500 Navy personnel graduate from the school annually.
Commander Lynn M. Wall enlisted in the Navy in 1992 as an Undesignated Seaman Recruit, before striking Yeoman in 1994. During her 14 years as an enlisted Sailor, she completed several fleet and staff tours in Norfolk, Virginia, and served on the staffs of both Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet in Hawaii.
In 2006, she was selected for commission as an Administration Officer via the Navy’s Limited Duty Officer program. Commander Wall is a graduate of Kaplan University. Wall’s first officer assignment was as the Educational Services Officer, Personnel Officer, and Ship’s Secretary aboard the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) in Bremerton, Washington, where she also earned her Surface Warfare Officer qualification. In 2009, she reported as the Executive Officer, Staff Enlisted Personnel, Administrative Officer, and Assistant Flag Secretary for Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet. Following this assignment, she reported to Commander, Navy Personnel Command in 2012, where she served as the Administrative Officer for Enlisted Distribution Division (PERS 40). During this tour, Commander Wall deployed as an Individual Augmentee to Isa Air Base in Bahrain where she served for a year, providing administrative support to hundreds of Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Soldiers forward deployed to the Middle East. Upon her return from Bahrain, she served as the Enlisted Shore Special Programs Branch Head.
In 2015, she transitioned to the staff of Commander, Navy Region Northwest where she served as the Manning Officer and later as the Flag Secretary and Executive Officer, Staff Personnel. In April 2018, she was assigned as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (Military Personnel Plans and Policy) and was by-name-requested to serve as the Flag Secretary and Staff Executive Officer to the Chief of Naval Personnel.
In November 2020, Commander Wall reported as the Administration Officer aboard the USS George Washington (CVN 73) in Newport News, Virgina, until September 2022 when she transitioned to serve as the Director of Administration for the Secretary of the Navy. Here, she oversaw a team of Sailors, Marines, and civilians in the handling of the Secretary’s executive and legislative correspondence.
Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation medal (six awards), the Joint Service Achievement Medal (two awards), and the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement medal.
