KEMPER COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)- The Kemper County Sheriff’s Office has received a donation of two sets of Spike-Devil tire deflation strips from the United States Deputy Sheriffs Association, officials announced.
The equipment is designed to help deputies safely end vehicle pursuits by deflating tires in a controlled manner, enhancing both officer and public safety.
The United States Deputy Sheriffs Association is a national nonprofit organization that supports the health, welfare and professional development of deputy sheriffs and their agencies across the country. The organization provides scholarships, training resources, equipment donations and community outreach programs aimed at strengthening law enforcement readiness.
Sheriff’s officials said the donation is part of ongoing support the department has received from the association over the years, including specialized equipment, patrol gear and training assistance.
The department expressed appreciation to the association and its supporters, noting that such contributions help improve deputy safety and strengthen service to the community.
