“Paint the Plaza Purple” event to support Alzheimer’s Association in Meridian

MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — A community-wide dining and entertainment event aimed at supporting the fight against Alzheimer’s disease is set for Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in downtown Meridian.

The event, “Paint the Plaza Purple,” will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Dumont Plaza and participating downtown restaurants.

The event will feature dining, live entertainment and fundraising activities, with proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.

Several local businesses are participating, including Aie’s, Brickhaus, Don P’s, Fare on Eighth, Harvest Grill, Threefoot Brewing and Weidmann’s.

Organizers say the event is designed to bring the community together for an evening of entertainment while raising awareness and funds to support Alzheimer’s research and services.
