Meridian Police Respond to 108 Calls, Release Latest Arrest Report

MERIDIAN, Miss. — The Meridian Police Department responded to 108 calls for service between 6 a.m. July 27 and 6 a.m. July 28, according to the department’s daily media release.

Police reported one residential burglary and responded to two shots-fired calls during the reporting period.

Reported Incidents

Residential Burglary

At 1:03 p.m. Monday, Meridian Police responded to a residential burglary in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Officers reported entry was gained through a door.

Shots Fired

Officers responded to two reports of shots fired. Police said evidence supporting one of the reports was located, while no evidence was found in the other incident.

No robberies, commercial burglaries, church burglaries, stolen vehicles or auto burglaries were reported during the reporting period.
