MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Meridian Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night in the 800 block of 29th Street.
According to the City of Meridian, officers responded around 8 p.m. Tuesday to reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found that two vehicles had been struck by gunfire.
Police said no injuries were reported.
The investigation remains active.
“This remains an active investigation, and we encourage anyone with information to contact the Meridian Police Department or CrimeStoppers,” Assistant Chief Darrell Thompson said in a statement.
No additional details were immediately available. The Meridian Police Department said more information will be released as it becomes available.
