JACKSON — Mississippi hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts now have a single mobile platform to manage their outdoor activities with the launch of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks’ all-new HuntFish app. The app replaces the previous MDWFP and MDWFP WMA apps, consolidating multiple functions into one easy-to-use tool.
The HuntFish app allows users to apply for draw hunts, check into wildlife management areas (WMAs), view and purchase licenses, and submit harvest reports—all from a mobile device. It also provides up-to-date information on rules and regulations, season dates, bag limits, feeding times, and other essential hunting and fishing resources.
“By combining all of these services into one app, we are making it simpler for Mississippians to enjoy our outdoor resources safely and efficiently,” said MDWFP officials.
Key features of the app include digital license display, WMA check-in and check-out, harvest reporting, and WMA draw applications. Users can create a new account or sync an existing MDWFP license account to access these services.
The app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices. MDWFP encourages users to remove the older MDWFP apps before installing the new HuntFish app to ensure the best experience.
