MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)- Meridian police have charged a second person in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Jan. 22, 2026, in the 2900 block of State Boulevard.
Henbria Kelly has been charged with accessory after the fact in the ongoing homicide investigation, according to the Meridian Police Department. Kelly’s bond has been set at $50,000.
The charge follows the initial arrest made Jan. 22, when Adrian Wallace, 24, was charged with murder after a shooting that left DeAndre Duff dead.
Police said officers were dispatched around 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 22 after receiving a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was found at the scene and pronounced dead.
Authorities said Wallace turned himself in shortly after the shooting and was taken into custody without incident. His bond was set at $1 million.
Preliminary information indicated the shooting stemmed from a family-related confrontation. Investigators said at the time they believed the incident was isolated and that there was no ongoing threat to the public.
“This is an example of a case where diligent police work has led to an additional arrest,” said Assistant Chief Darrell Thompson. “We want take this opportunity and remind everyone that there are other cases we are actively pursuing. If anyone has information related to any ongoing investigations we encourage them to contact the Meridian Police Department or our criminal investigation division at 601-485-1859.”
Police said the investigation remains active. In an earlier statement, the Meridian Police Department extended condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones.
