MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)-An explosion was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1200 block of 61st Court in Meridian, Ms, according to the Meridian Fire Department.
Meridian Fire Department crews were dispatched to the scene around 1 p.m. after reports of an explosion. Two people were outside the residence when responders arrived. Metro Ambulance Service evaluated both individuals, and no injuries were found.
The Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting with the investigation and working to determine the cause and nature of the explosion. Officials have not yet said what type of explosion occurred.
Meridian Police Department officers also responded to the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
