LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — One person is in custody following a search warrant executed Tuesday morning in connection with an ongoing narcotics and stolen property investigation, according to the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies with the department’s Narcotics and SWAT units carried out the search at approximately 6:30 a.m. in the 5900 block of Cuba Road, where authorities recovered narcotics and items believed to be stolen.
Primus Williams, 54, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including sale of methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm, possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Authorities said the search warrant followed a lengthy investigation that remains ongoing, with additional charges possible.
Williams’ bond was set at $100,000 for each controlled substance charge, $100,000 for possession of a stolen firearm and $100,000 for the enhanced penalty related to drug possession while armed, for a total of $400,000.
He is being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Facility.
