LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 10-year-old boy who has been reported missing in Lauderdale County.
The child is described as a 10-year-old Black male who is approximately 3 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 50 pounds. He was last seen in the area of the 9000 block of Lizelia Road near the intersection of Lost Horse Road.
Emergency officials are urging residents in the surrounding area to check their property, including outbuildings, sheds, barns and other structures where the child could potentially be located. Officials are also asking anyone with security cameras in the area to review any footage that may provide information about the child’s whereabouts.
Lauderdale Emergency Management Agency Director Odie Barrett said the public’s assistance is critical to helping locate the child safely.
Anyone who has seen the child or has information that could help investigators is urged to contact the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department, Lauderdale Emergency Management Agency or their nearest law enforcement agency immediately.
Authorities have not released additional information about the circumstances surrounding the child’s disappearance.
