The Meridian Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on July 20, 2026, in the 2000 block of Mosby Road.
As investigators continued following leads, Frederion Pruitt, (white shirt) was identified as a suspect. At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, investigators located Pruitt and began surveillance. When officers attempted to make contact, Pruitt fled on foot into a wooded area.
With assistance from the Meridian Fire Department’s Drone Team, and the Meridian Police Department K-9 unit, officers tracked Pruitt through the woods and apprehended him shortly after midnight.
During the course of the investigation, detectives also identified and arrested a second suspect, X’Zavion McCoy.
Both Pruitt and McCoy have been charged with Armed Robbery and are being held without bond.
Assistant Chief Dareall Thompson commended the officers and partner agencies involved in the case.
