MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – A longtime local collector is expanding his business with a new location in Meridian.
Artis Antiques, Vintage, Collectables & More held a grand opening and ribbon cutting Friday, April 10, hosted by the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation.
Owner Otis Artis, along with his wife Lynn Artis, recently moved the shop to a larger space located just behind its previous location, where the business had operated for more than a year and a half.
Artis said the new space allows him to showcase a wide variety of items he has spent decades collecting.
“A lot of antiques, all kind of vintage stuff, all kind of beautiful clothes, jewelry out of this world, and all kinds of miscellaneous stuff — we got it,” Artis said.
Artis said his passion for collecting spans more than 25 years.
The shop offers a mix of antiques, vintage clothing, jewelry and other unique items. Artis said he aims to provide customers with a wide selection and a personalized experience.
“I’ve got everything you need, and if I don’t, I can go home and get it for you,” he said.
Artis Antiques is currently accepting donations and plans to expand in the future by opening consignment booths within the next year.
The store is located at 2217 Highway 45 North in Meridian.
