PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — The Citizens Bank of Philadelphia has committed $100,000 to two Mississippi nonprofit organizations through separate Mississippi tax credit programs that support children and families.
The bank announced it has contributed $50,000 to Hope Village through the Children’s Promise Act State Tax Credit Program and $50,000 to the Center for Pregnancy Choices of Meridian through the Pregnancy Resource Charitable Organization (PRCO) Tax Credit Program.
According to The Citizens Bank, the contributions reflect its ongoing commitment to strengthening Mississippi communities by supporting organizations that provide services to children and families.
The Children’s Promise Act State Tax Credit Program allows eligible businesses to receive state tax credits for donations to qualified organizations serving vulnerable children and families.
The PRCO Tax Credit Program similarly provides state tax credits for contributions made to qualifying pregnancy resource charitable organizations.
By participating in both programs, the bank directed its tax dollars to support two nonprofit organizations working to serve Mississippi families.
Bank officials said the investments will help both organizations expand their outreach and continue providing services to those in need.
“The Citizens Bank of Philadelphia continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening Mississippi communities through generous charitable giving,” the bank said in its announcement.
The bank also said its participation in both tax credit programs reflects its commitment to making a positive impact beyond traditional banking services by investing in organizations that improve the lives of Mississippi families.
