MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The City of Meridian’s Parks and Recreation Department will distribute free sports balls to children during a holiday drive-thru event on Saturday, Dec. 20, at Highland Park near the Frank Cochran Center.
The giveaway, called the “Holiday Ball Bash,” will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Balls will be available for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, and officials said children must be present to receive a gift. Supplies are limited and will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.
City leaders said the event is intended to offer a simple, festive surprise for young athletes during the holiday season.
