MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — The Carter Foundation will host a community celebration marking the fifth anniversary of its Youth Academy service program on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Meridian.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. at 2415 8th Street and is open to the public.
Organizers plan a family-friendly celebration featuring free food, bounce houses, games, music and giveaways.
The Carter Foundation is also marking 12 years of service to the community. The organization launched the TCF Youth Academy five years ago as part of its mission to educate, motivate and elevate young people.
Founder James Carter said the foundation’s milestone reflects its continued commitment to the community and the support it has received over the years.
“The Carter Foundation is proud to celebrate 12 years of service to our community. Five years ago, we strengthened our commitment to Educate, Motivate, and Elevate by launching the TCF Youth Academy. This milestone would not be possible without God, strong community partnerships, and the many individuals who have supported our mission along the way. We are sincerely grateful to every mentor, volunteer, donor, sponsor, and supporter who has helped us make a lasting impact. We invite our community partners and supporters to join us for the TCF Youth Academy 5-Year Celebration,” Carter said.
Community members and supporters are invited to attend the celebration and take part in the event.
