MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Meridian Community College will celebrate student achievement with two ceremonies this week, recognizing graduates from its Practical Nursing program and the college’s Summer 2026 graduating class.
The college will host its Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, in McCain Theater. During the ceremony, 29 practical nursing candidates will receive their nursing pins, marking the completion of the program and their transition into the nursing profession.
On Friday, July 31, MCC will hold its Summer 2026 Commencement Ceremony at 10 a.m. in Graham Gymnasium.
More than 110 students are candidates for graduation during the summer commencement ceremony.
The events are part of the college’s annual recognition of students completing academic and workforce training programs. The nursing pinning ceremony honors graduates entering the healthcare field, while commencement celebrates students earning degrees and certificates across a variety of disciplines.
