Mississippi Blood Services is partnering with Regions Bank for a statewide college blood drive competition that will award scholarships to student donors.
The Regions Bank College Scholarship Blood Bowl runs through October and November and encourages students, faculty, staff, alumni and fans to donate blood and credit their donation to a participating university.
Mississippi Blood Services said one student donor at the winning university in each bracket will receive a $1,000 scholarship. One student donor at each of the other participating universities will receive a $500 scholarship.
The campaign is designed to support Mississippi patients while also encouraging school spirit and helping students with college expenses.
Donors can select their university when giving blood by using the school’s designated donation code.
